The 2021 Special Edition Father's Day Box

In honour of Father’s Day, we’ve put together a curated box of items that any guy in your life would absolutely love. From a few items to level up his grill game to a couple sweet treats, there’s something for every guy to enjoy.

Level up your morning routine

There’s nothing quite like a refreshing shower to kick off your day, and we’ve included some eucalyptus mint shower steamers from Apt. 6 that are total crowd pleasers. They’re the perfect way to indulge in a bit of self-care and luxury without having to soak in a tub for an hour — simply toss one of the steamers in when you’re showering, and enjoy as the incredible fragrance fills the bathroom and makes it seem like a spa. Even after a brief shower, the scent will linger in your bathroom as you finish up your morning routine.

Then, when you get dressed for the day, slip on the whimsical maple syrup and pancake socks from Friday Sock Co. The brand’s high-quality socks are ethically made in Italy, and the mismatched pattern makes a serious style statement. They’re perfect for adding a bit of personality to a more formal ensemble, or pairing with shorts and a T-shirt for a backyard cookout.

Finally, as any coffee drinker will know, there’s something so satisfying about that first morning cup of joe. To kick start your day, we’ve included a bag of ground Velvet Hammer Espresso from Jacked Up Jill that can either be sipped straight as a shot of espresso, or combined with milk for a delectable beverage packed with flavour. And, why not add a bit of indulgence to your morning — serve up your caffeinated beverage of choice with a few pieces of brown sugar shortbread from Real Treat. The small shortbread bites are not too sweet, have a bit of complexity in the flavour thanks to the brown sugar, and pair perfectly with coffee.

Enjoy the summer sunshine & get your grill on

If the guy in your life doesn’t yet have an apron to rock while flipping burgers and steaks on the grill, he’ll be all set after receiving this box. We included a 100% cotton apron from Now Designs in a bold red-and-black buffalo check pattern, crafted from a heavy-weight cotton that will stand up to any sauce disasters. It even has a large pocket in the front that can be used to cart your tools from the kitchen to the grill and back again.

We’ve also included a Land and Sea Rub from Gourmet Inspirations that will take all the guesswork out of your protein seasoning. The spice blend has notes of lemon, pepper, garlic, and onion, and makes for a perfect pairing with a wide variety of proteins, although it’s particularly well-suited to seafood. Whether you’re a fan of shrimp, cod, or whatever other fish you find fresh at the market, using this rub will help you craft a restaurant-quality meal. We've even included a recipe for salmon if you need a bit of guidance. And, the blend is also ideal for a variety of sides — sprinkle some on a fully loaded baked potato, or toss your grilled vegetables in the seasoning blend for a delectable side dish. It can even be combined with softened unsalted butter to craft next level grilled bread to accompany your meal.

After all that hard work grilling, you may not want to spend too much time making a complicated dessert — don’t worry, we’ve got you covered there too. Also from Gourmet Inspirations in the box is a salted caramel whiskey sauce that will transform any store-bought item into a gourmet dessert experience. Drizzle it over fresh fruit for a lighter end to your meal, or serve it atop your favourite creamy vanilla ice cream for something a bit more decadent. Or, if you want to indulge in an adult beverage to wrap up your meal, we’ve got the perfect solution — a specialty coffee, crafted right at home. Brew up some of the Velvet Hammer espresso, add a shot of your favourite coffee-friendly spirit such as bourbon, whiskey, or Irish cream liqueur, and then top with whipped cream and a generous drizzle of the salted caramel whiskey sauce. Trust us — it’s to die for.
